How it works
How we find out whether AI assistants name your business — and how we prove it.
The question we're answering
Picture a customer in Fresno asking ChatGPT, “Find me the best Mexican restaurant in Fresno,” or someone in Clovis asking Gemini, “Who's a good family dentist near me?” They don't get a list of ten links. They get a short answer with two or three names in it. Either your business is one of those names or it isn't. That's what we measure.
How we score it
We write the questions.
Real ones, the way your customers phrase them: "best," "near me," "open now," "who do you recommend," plus the questions specific to your type of business.
We ask the assistants.
ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, and Google AI Overviews. Each question more than once, because answers vary.
We record every answer.
Named or not named. Who was named instead. Whether what the assistant said about you — phone, hours, services — was correct.
We score it.
Your score is the share of answers where you were named. We also list the competitors named instead, and the likely reasons: an incomplete Google Business Profile, inconsistent business information across the web, no page that answers the question, thin reviews, no website.
The free sample review vs. the full audit
Free sample review
3 questions × 3 assistants = 9 answers. You get the score, who was named instead, and the two or three likeliest reasons. Takes about a day.
Get your free sample reviewFull audit ($750)
About 20 questions × 6 assistants, each asked more than once, plus your Google Maps and local ranking for the same searches and a check of your Google Business Profile. You get the full answer log, the reasons, and a written plan in order of impact.
See audit pricingWhy we check Google too
Most of what makes an AI assistant name a business is the same thing that makes Google rank it: a complete, accurate Google Business Profile; the same name, address, and phone everywhere; structured information on your website; real reviews; pages that answer real questions. We fix those once and both numbers move. Search engine optimization (SEO) is about ranking on a results page; AI search visibility (sometimes called GEO) is about being named in an answer. Different question, mostly the same plumbing underneath.
What the monthly report looks like
Every month on the Visibility Plan you get the same report, in the same order, so you can compare month to month:
- The score, with receipts: every question, every assistant, named or not, who was named instead — with the dated answers.
- What we did: a dated list of every change, with before and after.
- Why each change matters, in one plain line.
- What moved and what didn't — including the misses and what we're doing about them.
- Next month's plan: three to five fixes, in order.
Everything in it is something you can check yourself.
What we don't promise
We don't guarantee a #1 ranking or a specific placement on any AI assistant. No one honestly can — these are company-run systems that change without notice, and we don't control them. What we do promise: we measure whether your business is named and cited, we show you every answer, we show you the work, and we show you the number every month. We don't measure phone calls or sales unless you set up tracking and share it with us.
Questions we hear a lot
What's the difference between SEO and AI search visibility (GEO)?
SEO is about ranking on a results page. AI assistants don't show a results page; they give one answer with a few names in it. Different question, mostly the same plumbing underneath — which is why we do both.
We already pay for SEO. Do we need this?
Keep it. Most SEO firms don't measure AI answers yet. Your free sample review will show whether you're being named; if you are, we'll tell you and you're done.
How long before the score moves?
Business-information fixes and Google Business Profile changes usually show within a few weeks. New pages and reviews build over a few months. We report every month either way, including when nothing moved.
Can you guarantee we'll be named?
No, and nobody honest can. See "What we don't promise" above.
Do you work outside Fresno and Clovis?
We're built for the Fresno–Clovis area. We know the businesses, the neighborhoods, and what people here ask.
